Hi, my name is Chris Ostrander a native of Orchard Park, NY.

I am a 2008 graduate of John Carroll University where I majored in Communications with a journalism concentration. I was a two-sport athlete at JCU as a member of the club hockey and club lacrosse teams. In addition, I spent three years on the staff of the award-winning Carroll News.

I have worked for three Buffalo-area sports teams, two of which are under the same ownership. My first experience came with the Buffalo Bills during the summer of 2007 when I worked as a contributing correspondent for the Bills’ website.

Last year, I was hired as the Buffalo Sabres Public Relations Graduate Assistant. This gave me the opportunity to work for both the Sabres and the Buffalo Bandits indoor lacrosse franchise.

I was recently hired to work for NBC at the Winter Olympics for the duration of the Games. Hopefully this blog can provide a unique look at the Winter Games.

I want to give a special thanks to everyone who has helped me get to this point. In particular, my family and friends, Mike Gilbert, Kevin Snow, Chris Bandura, Chris Brown, Gregg Pastore, Chris Wenzler and anyone else I have failed to mention.
